Challenge

Clients faced the issue of data collected both online and offline being fragmented across different systems, making it time-consuming and labor-intensive to grasp the overall picture. Additionally, it was difficult to create promotional plans that linked inventory information with actual demand, leading to unclear returns on investment (ROI) for promotions and advertising efforts. Furthermore, the time required for data processing was lengthy, resulting in delays in dashboard and report updates, which hindered timely decision-making.

Clients faced the issue of data collected both online and offline being fragmented across different systems, making it time-consuming and labor-intensive to grasp the overall picture. Additionally, it was difficult to create promotional plans that linked inventory information with actual demand, leading to unclear returns on investment (ROI) for promotions and advertising efforts. Furthermore, the time required for data processing was lengthy, resulting in delays in dashboard and report updates, which hindered timely decision-making.

Approach

We first integrated various distributed data sources in the cloud and designed and built a scalable architecture centered around BigQuery. On top of that, we normalized the data and optimized processing speed, creating an environment where daily data updates are reflected in almost real-time. For the management team, we built dashboards using Looker Studio, enabling immediate planning and analysis of measures in conjunction with CRM at the operational level. Additionally, in advertising delivery, we linked tracking data such as GCLID with purchase data to improve the accuracy of delivery segments and maximize effectiveness. We also introduced a demand forecasting model to support the establishment of a promotional system that can flexibly respond to changes in the external environment.
